Events

The Society has a core of about 6 events per annum. Events are open to all members, guests and prospective members. Our 2008 Calendar is as follows:

Our policy since 2002, and continuing in 2008, is that most of our events aim to encourage socialising within and between our village communities. Thus some events are free of charge to members (subsidised by membership subscriptions) or we aim to cover the event costs with what we hope is an affordable charge. This keeps these social events accessible to as wide a community as possible.

Our fundraising to support our environmental and conservation agenda is therefore focused on your additional donations and what you’re able to afford to give to support the causes we are championing on behalf of both Betchworth and Buckland. A good example is the donations requested to support CAMEL activities, for which the B&B Society acts as Treasurer.
